The client was in waste management and processing Business. The Client imple- mented NetSuite however, considering the size and nature of the business, it was costly and cumbersome to use NetSuite. Additionally, for other business ventures, the client was using QuickBooks desktop. The Client wanted to migrate the company data from NetSuite to QuickBooks Desk- top.
The client has been using NetSuite for the last 11 years and wanted to migrate the entire data for all those years from NetSuite to QuickBooks.
A two-step solution was incorporated
1. We migrated Master data from NetSuite to QuickBooks desktop (Like Customer/ Vendor records, items, Chart of accounts, etc.)
Since the structure of the NetSuite does not match with QuickBooks exactly there were certain fields that were there in the NetSuite but were not available in the QuickBooks. To take care of the same, we created a custom field in QuickBooks whereas in other places we merged/removed certain data fields from NetSuite to QuickBooks.
2. Moving the records for the last 11 years to QuickBooks
We ensured that the data for all eleven years is migrated correctly on a year-wise basis and also the payments are applied correctly against all the invoices and bills. To ensure accuracy, we downloaded the open AR and AP reports from NetSuite for each year and matched the same with the QuickBooks reports which made sure that they coincide.
